Get Back on Track.
Hey, what’s up? I’m so excited for this new year! I see a lot of friends and clients on social media and at the gym working on their fitness resolutions.
I wanted to write a little about how to get back on track after taking a break from working out. I know a lot of us struggled to keep sessions on the calendar but that’s ok. The normal routine is slowly settling in.
Get Back on Track Task 1
So the first thing we gotta do before jumping back into working out is to re-do an assessment. To see where we are today and what do we have to work with.
You gotta think about your goals. So far what I have seen is that some people want to get back on track, others want to lose some weight. People have told me they want to start eating a little bit better this year.
Some others want to stay active and not have something specific in mind which is also great.
Let’s take this month to kind of challenge ourselves to work towards our individual goals a little bit each day.
I’m giving you a handout that you can access by clicking this link. In this handout, you can write down your measurements, stats, and goals. What do you want to do in the next four weeks? This will help you hold yourself accountable.
Goals to Get Back on Track
The first thing we’re going to do is we’re gonna come up with a specific goal. Then write down your weight and get your measurements. I’m going to show you how to do that real quick and we’ll go from there. Watch the video on YouTube.
From there make it a point to work towards your goal one day at a time. If your goal is to walk longer than 30 minutes each day then add a few minutes each time you go for a walk. Are you wanting to drink more water each day? Start thinking of ways to make drinking water easy.
In the next few articles, we’re going to be talking about how to overcome any obstacles and I’ll be here keeping you motivated to get you to the next level.
What obstacles are in your way?
