Here is a little background about this trainer. My training experience started like any other trainer's. I focused on helping my clients lose weight and tone up. And that was about it.

I didn't really know too much more about the human body. At least not past what is the minimum requirements to get my pt certification.  I cringe to think about it now.

In reality, this is the way it typically is when you work with trainers. Especially if they are new. It's true that the science of weight loss and weight gain is pretty much solid. However, the trouble starts when you have muscle imbalances that are not addressed.

What happens when you ignore this? You could get injured during or after your sessions. Your posture will continue to stay in bad shape which can cause aches down the line.

You will also not see the results you signed up for.

Luckily, I got to work with a trainer that had a better understanding of how muscles work. He started teaching me what he knew.

I noticed my clients were responding way better to this new type of training. After a while, I was certified with NASM as a Corrective Exercise Specialist!

My clients will tell you that I like to start all sessions with foam rolling or some sort of SMR.  But sometimes a few minutes isn't enough. It really depends on your body.  For that reason, I added a 30-minute Stretches & Myofascial Trigger Point (MTP) Release session to my service list.
